The Coiste na Gaeilge (Irish Committee) plays an important role in promoting the use of Irish throughout St. Laurence’s. The committee is made up of pupils and teachers who work together to encourage everyone to use more Gaeilge in a fun and inclusive way.

Throughout the year, the Coiste helps to organise events such as Seachtain na Gaeilge, Irish language games, competitions, and classroom challenges. They create posters, announcements, and activities that help make Gaeilge visible and enjoyable across the school. The Coiste na Gaeilge helps to foster pride in the language and ensures that Irish is part of everyday school life - both inside and outside the classroom.
